Src:Card is all about education >>> We have found that Src:Card works best with students that have some familiarity with programming and computers. If your students are unfamiliar with coding, we recommend exposing them to the basic motivations behind programming; such as an introductory video in programming. We will include links to some videos we recommend.
Once students understand that programs are little more than special instructions for a machine, Src:Card is the perfect tool to enforce those concepts that most first year tertiary students struggle with (such as loop, conditional statements, branches, etc). Please have a look through the following videos. The first video is a great introduction to programming in general. The last three videos are a great series on Src:Card put together by the A/W Show (run by Kota Kinabalu Coders here in Malaysia).
Src:Card is also an active donor toward academic causes. During our launch campaign we promised we would be donating one copy of Src:Card to a charity for every retail copy of our print run we sold during our campaign. We’ll we have gone ahead and done just that. Src:Card has donated over 100 copies of our game to educational charities. Please ask if we can help your school or learning institute!
Your support helped create Src:Card and now your support has helped put Src:Card in schools. Thanks to you we have been able to donate the following:
